Ernesto Rios studied art at IRBAC in Mexico and completed a Master in Interactive Telecommunications at ITP New York University in 2006. He has held 15 solo exhibitions of his photographs and multimedia work in various Mexican cities, Cuba and New York City.
His work has been included in group exhibitions in Tokyo, Paris, Sao Paulo, Rome, London, Mexico City, Cuba and New York.

Ríos has been working with a diverse palette of tools developing his work in photography, drawing, video, animation, interactive art and virtual reality.

Ríos has taught multimedia and photography at a number of institutions, most recently UAEM (University of the State of Morelos in Mexico) and Deakin University (Melbourne Australia).
