Ernesto Ríos is a multi-disciplinary visual artist who works with a diverse palette of tools: drawing, painting, video, photography, animation, virtual reality, performance, interactive art and net-art.

He was born in Mexico City where he studied Photography, Hispanic Literature and Linguistics, History of Art and Fine Arts. Ernesto Rios has lived in Mexico City, Melbourne, London and New York. He has travel extensively in Europe, Oceania, Asia, Middle East and North, Center and South America.

Rios holds a Masters Degree from Tisch School of the Arts (Interactive Telecommunications Program) at New York University. He is currently a PhD candidate at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.

Ernesto Rios has exhibited extensively both in Australia and overseas, including 18 solo exhibitions and 60 group exhibitions in major cities such as New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, Valencia, Sao Paulo, Melbourne and Mexico City.
